AUB Adopts Biosolids Policy
AUB's board, on October 23, 2007, adopted the following policy to guide biosolids production and disposal:
"Athens Utilities Board will develop and implement the most economically sound and environmentally beneficial biosolids recycling options for the biosolids generated at the Oostanaula and North Mouse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plants, and commits to following the Code of Good Practice for biosolids developed by the National Biosolids Partnership."
AUB Partners with National Biosolids Partnership
AUB is committed to recycling biosolids generated at the Oostanaula and North Mouse Creek Wastewater Treatment Plants. An Environmental Management System (EMS), based on the National Biosolids Partnership's (NBP's) Code of Good Practice, is currently under development.
