Electric Power Rates – Commercial/Industrial
AUB offers seven basic commercial rates, GSA, GSB, GSC, GSD, MSB, MSC and
MSD. “GS” denotes General Services and applies to commercial entities not
engaged in manufacturing, such as churches, schools, restaurants, retail
stores, etc. “MS” denotes Manufacturing Services. The differentiation
between the GS and MS classes is determined by the entity's Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) code. Commercial rate qualification is
determined by the customer's kilowatt (kw) demand.
The GSA rate is for commercial accounts with a demand between 0 kw and 5,000
kw; GSB/MSB are for commercial/manufacturing accounts with a demand between
5,001 kw and 15,000kw; and GSC/MSC are for accounts with a demand between
15,001 kw and 25,000 kw.
Note: All rates per kWh in the commercial/industrial schedule below are AUB's base
rate. Each month, TVA announces a Fuel Charge for the period, which is
added to the AUB base per-kWh rate.
Seasonal/Time of Use Terms: where applicable in the rate classes shown below. The following terms are defined as follows.
Summer = June - September
Winter = Dec - March
Transition = April/May and Oct/Nov
On-peak hours = 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Eastern
Off-peak hours = 5 a.m. - 11 a.m. Eastern
