Call Before You Dig
Home improvement is more popular than ever. On any given street,
weekend warriors are planting, digging, remodeling, and building.
While the results can be marvelous, the work can be risky when
underground utilities are in play.
To avoid the risk of hitting underground lines, call Tennessee
One Call at 811 at least three days in advance and ask
to have utility-line locations marked before you begin working. The
service is free. It could save your life.

Move Over Tennessee

Move Over for utility workers in Tennessee. It's the law.
Tennessee's "move-over" law creates a safety zone to protect police, firefighters and other emergency personnel. A new revision expands the existing law by adding utility service equipment to the list of vehicles for which motorists are required to either slow down or move over.
