Commercial/Industrial Wastewater Rates

Wastewater use rates are based on the amount of water used each month.  A minimum monthly billing is in place based on the account type, such as residential or commercial.

Wastewater Charges 

The table below shows:

• The minimum monthly charge.
• The wastewater charge for each 1,000 gallons of water used.
• Example of billing amounts based on various use levels.

Wastewater Tap Fees

• 6" and smaller fee: $1,500.00
• Larger than 6" fee: $4,000.00

The tap fee includes the material and labor required to make the tap and service connection.

Grinder Pump Installation Fee

Commercial grinder pump installations are at cost.

Permitted Industrial User Rates

The following table describes the framework for surcharging wastewater constituents. Based on this table, required industries are allocated mutually agreed upon waste loads that can be discharged from their facility into AUB's wastewater collection system. Wastewaters in excess of the industry specific allocations are either surcharged for flow and pollutants or are notified (and/or penalized) of the noncompliance. Certain pollutants have 'break-point' surcharge rates and/or maximum discharge allowances which are prescribed in the industries User Permit. Only facilities with a valid Industrial User Permit are subject to AUB surcharge rates.
