Outdoor Security Lighting

NOTE: AUB is transitioning fully to the use of LED lights for street lighting, ball fields, parking lots, and for individual security lights for a home or business.  We no longer order or stock Mercury Vaper, High Pressure Sodium, or Metal Halide fixtures.  We include those in the rate information below only because we still have some of those type lights out in the system.  As they fail or require maintenance, we are replacing them with in-kind LED fixtures.

Part A

Applicable to street lighting and park lighting systems, traffic signals/systems, and athletic field lighting installations.

• Customer Charge per month: $12.00
• Investment Charge (annual rate per dollar investment): $0.12
• Energy Charge per kilowatt hour: $0.06867

Part B

Applicable to individual customers (home or business)

• charges are per light, per month
• $2.00/month charge if AUB deems necessary to set a pole for the light to be mounted
• Charges related to mercury vapor are for existing lights already in the field, as mercury vapor lights are not available for new installations
• LED fixtures are 4,000 kelvin, which coincides most closely with the "sweet spot" of the color spectrum of the human eye
• One time service fee of $25 when light is installed
